I will laugh...
Such a strange phenomenon:
almost every individual I meet appears, in his own eyes at least, to be a moral and upright person — a believer in truth, justice, kindness, humanity.
And perhaps many genuinely are.
But the moment individuals gather into groups, something changes mysteriously. The individual disappears behind the anonymity of the crowd and suddenly becomes capable of things he may never have imagined alone. Strange how easily responsibility dissolves once it gets distributed among many shoulders.
And then, once the crowd disperses, the same person emerges clean again — once again an individual, once again reasonable, once again moral.
This world is wonderful in its ambiguities.
Almost everyone speaks about peace, yet the world remains full of violence and power games. Everyone talks about searching for meaning in life, and yet collectively humanity often appears utterly confused about where it is heading.
Earlier such contradictions disturbed me greatly.
Now perhaps they amuse me more than they disappoint me.
I think I will laugh along with life instead of trying too hard to untangle all its contradictions.
